Maryland blue crabs communicate through water vibrations, using their claws to produce rhythmic tapping sounds. They are scavengers, feeding on everything from algae to small fish. Interestingly, their color shifts depending on their environment—freshwater crabs tend to appear greener, while those in saltwater boast a more vivid blue hue.
